After motherhood, romance pretty much goes out of the window. And exhausted parents couldn't give a damn about Valentine's day, what with so many other days taking precedence (think kids' birthdays, World Book Day, first Nativity etc etc). But IF you could have that romance (or even some alone time) back on V-day, how would you like to spend it? Over to you mummas…
Nikki Hunter-Pike – Glam and Geeky Mum
A whole day to just my husband and myself with no interruptions, just a chance for us to be us again rather than team parent! I wouldn't even need to leave the house, just chilling out playing video games in bed together and ordering takeout would be my idea of bliss!
Beth – Twinderelmo
Waking up naturally instead of a child climbing all over me!
Claire – This Mummy Rocks
We don't really do Valentine's Day as we believe you should appreciate and show love to each other daily. My ultimate Valentine's Day wish would be some time alone with my hubby. I don't care what we do or where we go. Just time to connect without a child in between us. We have 5 children so childcare can be hard to get.
Vikki – Family Travel with Ellie
My husband has been working away a lot lately and things have been really hard. We miss him terribly. The ultimate valentines gift would be a whole day and night with him, to enjoy a family day out , and then to cook together in the evening and just be able to relax and enjoy each other's company without him having to pack and leave the next day.
Sara Jayne – Keep up with the Jones Family
I would love to be surprised by my husband in any way at all. With three boys there's little room for surprises or spontaneity! I'd love any sign that he remembers I'm still his wife, not just their mom!
Laura – Five Little Doves
I'd be happy with the chance to just go out somewhere and hold my husbands hand instead of dragging four kids behind us!
Gail – Yammy Mommy
Spa day, alone, with a book and getting home to a spotless house. I love days out for 'me time' but I know I'm going to arrive back to chaos!
Folakemi – Peacocks Can Fly
Someone to get the kids out of the house for a day/night so we can just relax and enjoy each other's company alone.
Becka – Mummy Est 2014
Meal and a movie without J, with the hubby. I can't remember the last time we went 'out out' just the two of us.
Rachael – From Rachael Claire
A whole nights sleep with no interruptions from a teething eight month old! I don't think that's too much to ask…\
Sinead – Sinead Latham
For my fella to remember it's Valentine's Day and not just our boy's birthday…
Jess – Mrs Hible
Having a night where all three children go down to sleep with no problems, stay asleep and wake up happy the next day. Without nightly wake ups, tantrums and messing about going to bed.
Kelly – Small House Big Trips
My ultimate valentines wish would be a romantic overnight stay. The type of place that has a fancy bathtub in the bedroom.
