This winter, let there be light… (Litecraft review)

After reading my posts on house-hunting and moving house, lighting and home decor company Litecraft got in touch with me to review their lights. Perfect opportunity, I thought, because we are still in the process of accessorising our new house (it’s a never-ending process, isn’t it?).

Since this blog is all about parenting and parenting-related lifestyle, their obvious choice was to give me something to review from the Children’s Lighting section, but since Little Man has already chosen his new ceiling lamp shade, I decided to go with the Outdoor Lighting instead, as we needed lights in our back garden and front porch area. Besides, with winter approaching, what better than some pretty lights to make those cold, dark evenings more cheerful, correct?

After much deliberation and choosing (there is SO much choice from antique lanterns to garden spike lights to solar lights), Hubster and I decided to go with the Kenn Up and Down Light in a lovely copper shade, to contrast with our white exterior wall finish.

Now, for the review…

  • To begin with, I think Litecraft has a great range of lighting for every room and taste, be it indoors or outdoors. Whilst lighting is their forte, there is also a decent selection of mirrors and home decor. (There is a massive clearance sale on at the moment, so you will really get a good deal!)

  • The lights are of a superior quality, and look fabulous – no complaints!

  • What we especially liked about the Kenn Up and Down Light we chose is that it lights up the exterior of the house brilliantly, emanating enough light to make the house look pretty and to be able to see at night, yet it isn’t so jarring as to reach up to the bedrooms and disturb us. A definite win-win!

  • With the exception of light bulbs, there is free delivery to all UK mainland addresses. And it’s super fast – my package was with me the very next day!

So if you’re looking for inspiration for your new home, or some added light and warmth this winter, head over to Litecraft and take your pick. You will be spoilt for choice…

Disclosure: I was provided these outdoor lights in exchange for an honest review; all opinions expressed are entirely my own.
