‘Nature-powered’ beauty with Eclat: Review
I’ll be honest – I’ve never been one to really care for skincare, or have a skincare routine. A basic face wash every morning, moisturiser when my skin felt dry and sunscreen when I was out in the sun were the only products I used. However, now that I’m in the 40s, I have begun to take my skincare far more seriously, as I’m slowly but surely seeing the effects of age, a hectic lifestyle, motherhood, stress and more taking a toll on my skin.
I realise the importance of cleaning, exfoliating, toning, moisturising. I know the value of serums. I make an effort to dab on sunscreen everyday, regardless of whether I’m out in the sun or not. I’m learning… and experimenting with various products to see what suits my skin best and gives it that healthy, radiant glow.
Which is why I was super excited to try the following products by Eclat Skincare Store. I’d heard about Eclat before but never had the chance to try their products – and I’m so glad I did! I’m wowed by everything about the brand – especially the fact that their products do really work! Here’s my honest review on the four products that I’ve been using for almost a month now.
Hyaluronic Acid Serum
Two skincare facts I recently learnt about:
- Serums are highly concentrated formulations that penetrate quicker and deeper into the skin, addressing common causes of ageing and skin damage. They tend to have more targeted ingredients than moisturisers and owing to their viscosity and thinner consistency as compared to creams and lotions, absorb into the skin faster and better and deliver their benefits at a more cellular level.
- Hyaluronic Acid is something that our body produces naturally; however, with age, the production is reduced and needs to be externally replenished. With regards to our skin, it keeps it hydrated, supple and wrinkle-free.
So I started using my Eclat Hyaluronic Acid Serum every morning and night diligently (well done me, considering serums were never a part of my skincare routine) and I’m amazed by the results! The serum has definitely helped to regenerate the dull, tired skin on my face and I do find it looking and feeling more refreshed and toned. And not surprising, considering the umpteen benefits that lie inside this bottle…
- This serum provides 16+ hours of hydration; most hyaluronic acid serums contain a concentration of over 4%, but higher amounts can sometimes cause skin soreness and cracking. The Eclat Hyaluronic Acid Serum has an optimal concentration of 2.5% that helps plump the skin and restore moisture for over 16 hours.
- It also has 3 times the smoothing properties than other serums with its special HA- BOOST multi-molecular formula that penetrates 3 times deeper targeting fine lines and wrinkles.
- It’s also packed with the goodness of vitamins C and E, both extremely beneficial to our skin; collagen-boosting ginseng and flavonoids as well as soothing green tea, aloe vera and witch hazel making it gentle on the skin while working its magic
The serum comes in a convenient-to-apply pipet bottle and is best used after cleaning and toning but before moisturising. And here’s an additional tip: let it dry for a few seconds before moisturising as it helps transport the moisturiser more effectively into your skin. I’d recommend!

Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream
As I mentioned earlier, I am now 40. I don’t have wrinkles as yet, but prevention is better than cure, correct? With day-to-day stresses and environmental pollution, the demands of motherhood and being on the other side of 40, using an anti-wrinkle cream makes complete sense!
And this patented Eclat Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream (which has also been featured in Vogue) is jam-packed with everything one needs for youthful, radiant skin. It has 6 anti-ageing peptides (talk about a real pep-boost!!!), is 5 times more powerful for wrinkle repair owing to its components Matrixyl 3000 and Argireline – natural botox, contains youth boosters vitamin C and collagen, has 6 natural anti-oxidants and hyaluronic acid, the benefits of which I have already stated. The active ingredient in the cream is safflower seed oil sustainably sourced in Morocco.
It’s fragrance-free as well, and suitable for all skin types. Honestly, what’s not to love here?

Activated Charcoal Mask
I love a good face mask; I feel it instantly refreshes my face and makes my skin feel and look fresh, soft and dewy. Unlike some brands that use chemically-produced charcoal, Eclat’s Activated Charcoal Mask uses organic steam-activated charcoal that contains 37% more minerals, making it more effective in eliminating blackheads and impurities and kinder to the skin.
The four-clay blend combines bentonite, kaolin, Moroccan lava clay and montmorillonite which work together to draw out impurities, remove excess oil, exfoliate and prevent breakouts. It’s like a 4-in-1 face mask and I also like the fact that it is a multi-action face mask – it can be used as a face peel mask or as a wash-off exfoliating mask. It also contains aloe vera and cucumber that makes it anti-inflammatory as well as soothing.

Castor Oil (conditioning and strengthening oil for skin and hair)
I’ve never used castor oil before, at least not on it’s own, but I’m so glad I tried the Eclat Castor Oil. I have tried it on my hair, on my skin, on my lashes and also as a massage oil to soothe aching muscles and it has worked every time. I’m impressed and would definitely be ordering this one again!
Below are some of the many benefits of this wonder oil:
- It acts as a moisturiser for the skin, particularly in the winter months: aids in healing and relieving dry skin.
- It also works wonders on the hair: massage into scalp and leave on overnight for healthy, shiny hair.
- It also works as an effective lash serum (for those wanting naturally longer, fuller and healthier looking lashes). The bottle comes with a lash applicator as well. The best part is that since it is organic, it is safe to use for cosmetic purposes too.
- And last but not the least, it is also effective as a massage oil for aching muscles and joints from over-exercising.
- Rich in nourishing omega-6 fatty acids.
- Pure, unrefined, has no chemicals and is hand-harvested and cold-pressed.

The Eclat story…
I was highly impressed with all the four Eclat products I was sent for the purpose of this review; which made me read up some more on the brand and its history. I was happy to see that they use natural ingredients in all their products – plant and fruit extracts are key components in their products. Their formulas are as stripped back as possible, prioritising potent active ingredients over chemical alternatives and fillers.
And besides being committed to their customers’ well-being, they are committed to the planet too, being an eco-friendly, recycle-friendly, sustainable brand.
Conclusion
So, if you’re looking for nature-powered skin and hair products that pack a punch into your beauty/ self-care routine (while also being good to the planet), why not give Eclat a try?
Disclosure: I was gifted the items in the post to review; however, all opinions are my own.
