Mother’s Day Gift Guide 2024
Wonderful beauty finds to hide signs of sleepless nights, jewellery because mum is so worth it, candles to help her de-stress, gourmet brownies because she deserves the treat and books for her me-time – there’s a lot of choice for Mother’s Day gifts in this gift guide!
If you’re a mum reading this, be direct and tell your better half what you would like; and if you’re anyone else but mum scrolling through, then you’ve got a whole load of gift ideas for that special woman in your life. So, let’s dig in…
From the beauty aisle
Odylique
Odylique is a brand I was introduced to last year, and their products made a great impression on me, so much so that I was thrilled to be able to try out some more of their luxurious offerings. This Lemon Butter Hand Smoothie hand cream literally smells like a delicious lemon smoothie, and feels oh-so-soft on your skin.
A new addition – the Lavender Hand and Body gift set – makes for a great gift too; nourishing, fragrant and beautifully presented.
All their products contain natural active ingredients (‘Odylique’ literally means ‘power of nature’) making this a brand I will keep going back to! Do check out their range of beauty and make-up products here.

Face Junkie
If you’re looking for the ultimate-in-beauty-gifting gift for mum, then look no further than the Hero Collection Bundle from Face Junkie. This all-in-one bundle literally has everything your skincare routine requires from am to pm, and I am in absolute love with these products.
The Hero Collection Bundle contains a six-step skincare system for long-term healthy and glowing skin. It includes three products to be used in the morning – Brightening Cleanser, Vitamin C + Neroli Antioxidant Serum and Neroli Day Cream + Sunscreen – and three for the evening – Green Tea Antioxidant Cleansing Oil (my favourite cleanser so far!), Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum and the luxuriously rich Pro Collagen Night Cream.

Together, these six products give you a dewy complexion and glowing skin. I highly recommend this brand and this bundle makes an awesome gift for mum.

Lavera
Another tried-and-tested brand, one that I would recommend again and again. Since I have tried their skincare previously and was well impressed, I opted for their make-up range for this guide, and give the products a ten on ten.
The three products I reviewed were the Mineral Skin Tint, the Cream Glow Lipstick (in Peachy Nude) and the Liquid Eyeliner. The Mineral Skin Tint is a tinted moisturiser that hydrates your skin while adding a subtle natural glow, the perfect blend of skincare and make-up. The Cream Glow Organic Lipstick feels lightweight despite it’s luscious creamy formula, providing a silky finish and subtle sheen. The Peachy Nude shade gives that awesome sun-kissed, au naturale look too, perfect for the summer months!

Mariana London
Mariana hand makes gorgeous smelling luxury artisan soaps, bath oils and body butters (with natural ingredients and essential oils) and her products provide the ultimate in luxury and self-care, making for a lovely Mother’s Day gift.
Her divine smelling fragrances include Sweet Orange and Patchouli, Mandarin and Neroli, Rose Geranium and Bergamot, Lemongrass and Peppermint, Lavender and May Chang and Rosemary and Melissa. Head over to Mariana London to find the perfect lovingly-made gift for mum.

Luma Skin
Straight from the heart of the Amazon, Luma Skin produces face creams and face oils made from ingredients from the Amazon, making for a rather unique skincare gift for mum. The Seamoss Face Cream with Amazonian Oils, that I am currently using, is enriched with the power of seamoss and seven nourishing Virgin Amazonian Oils, providing that youthful radiance and age-defying magic all we mums desire!
The second product I tried was the Sun Protection Oil which is perfect for everyday protection from the sun as well as for sunnier days out. With the powers of Annatto oil, this sun-defying elixir rich in natural carotenoids protects the skin against UV rays while simultaneously nourishing and soothing sun-kissed skin. Not to mention the sexy bronzed glow!

Benecos
A beauty brand that emphasizes natural beauty, Benecos was another wonderful find. Their extensive skin care and make-up range has you covered on all fronts, with natural ingredients at their core. Special mention to their Oatly Handy Oat Hand Cream that is as lush and nourishing a hand cream as you can get – absolutely perfect to keep those dry, ‘mothered-out’ hands soft all year round.
I’m also in love with this Natural Concealer that does its job perfectly, whilst simultaneously nourishing my skin as well. Definitely a brand I recommend for nourishing yet powerful skincare and make-up.

Fair Squared
Another skincare and cosmetics brand that focusses on natural ingredients, environmental responsibility and fair trade (it’s in the name) and produces lovely, refreshing products that would make a lovely beauty gift hamper for Mother’s Day.
I tried their gorgeous smelling and oh-so-soothing Green Tea Body Lotion and Olive Hand Cream and will certainly be coming back to this brand for more. Simple, clean ingredients and a no-nonsense approach – win-win all the way!

Candles, cushions and books… aaah, bliss!

Available in two lovely fragrances, the candle is made with a blend of natural butters and oils including Jojoba, Baobab, Shea, Avocado, Almond and Soy. So after enjoying the scent, you can also enjoy the benefits of these oils on your skin (see how to do so safely by clicking on the link). Jo Gough’s art
For the mum who loves art and beautiful canvasses, prints and the like, Jo Gough Art is absolutely wonderful for gifting. Jo’s vibrant works of art (on the themes of abstract to animal to city to coast to flowers and ballerinas and more) are available in canvasses, prints, greeting cards, cushions and other gifts such as coaster sets and pocket mirrors. Unique, colourful and beautiful keepsake gifts for mum!

Eleanor Tomlinson’s art
Remember the iconic water colour image of HM Queen Elizabeth II walking with Paddington Bear and one of her corgis? That was illustrated by none other than Yorkshire-based award-winning artist and illustrator Eleanor Tomlinson, whose artworks also make for wonderful gifts for mum this Mother’s day.
Inspired by the breathtaking Yorkshire countryside and its wildlife, Eleanor’s art makes great gifts in the form of prints, calendars, fabrics, homeware including fine bone china mugs and coasters, stationery and more. Take your pick from her Mother’s day Gift Edit – trust me, you’ll be spoilt for choice!

Gifts Instead of Flowers
Gifts Instead of Flowers is an innovative online platform that showcases the work of UK artists and small businesses who create stunning, original and affordable products such as art, jewellery, ceramics, prints, candles, cards and more. You can browse the Gifts Instead of Flowers website, then order your desired gift directly from the artist or small business. The artists retain a 100% of the profit while making a donation to William’s Fund, a charity dedicated to childhood cancer research.

A Matrimonial Murder
Jewellery, self-care products and treats are all very nice and very welcome; but sometimes, all a mum wants is a good book to enjoy with her cuppa. And Meeti Shroff-Shah’s A Matrimonial Murder is perfect for those who enjoy crime fiction. The second book in her ‘Temple Hill’ series (the first was A Mumbai Murder Mystery) is now out, and makes for a thrilling good read! Jealous rivals. Jilted lovers. Jaded rejects. Who among them is angry enough to commit murder? In the marriage game, everyone has their secrets. And Radhi quickly learns some are more deadly than others. The perfect way to spice up Mother’s Day!!!

The Mother of Honey
The Mother of Honey by Ana Maria Luisa is a book for the soul and a powerful testament to the
human spirit, celebrating triumphs that can come from the darkest of places. Spanning generations from Brazil to England to India, this is a read mum will definitely enjoy.

Disclosure: I was gifted the items in the gift guide to review; however, all opinions are my own.
