Customised & boutique business cards: Aura Print Review
As a blogger, branding and marketing yourself – and your blog – is key. For you may write the most informative posts, but if people don’t read them, of what use are those posts? The bloggers market, like most, is saturated; but that doesn’t mean you can’t make your blog stand out. With awesome content, unique branding, a great social media presence and business cards that reflect the personality of your brand – you can be a winner!
I recently changed the look and branding of my blog (with the focus still being on Motherhood and Lifestyle) but what was lacking were some good quality business cards that could help me promote my blog and my freelance content creation and copywriting work. So when boutique printer Aura Print approached me to review their business cards, I felt it was perfect timing.
I could (virtually) choose the type, style and design of my card; the team were lovely to work with and the end product is exactly how I envisioned it. Here’s my honest review of the process and the cards themselves.
The process…
Styles, Materials and Finishes
Although everything was done virtually, it was simple and clear-cut. I went onto their website from where I could choose from a range of different types of business cards. There are numerous styles, materials and finishes available, so it’s easy to find something that reflects your business/ brand as well as fits in with your personal taste. From custom cards to folded cards; metallic foil prints to magnetic backs; mini cards to double-thick cards; plastic cards to those made from recycled materials; square-shaped cards to rounded corners; matt, gloss or pearlescent finishes – you will be spoilt for choice. You can even customise your cards and create them in any shape you want (the die cut business cards) or opt for colorplan business cards on beautifully coloured papers. I opted for the matt laminated business cards.

Configure and design your card
Once you’ve chosen the style and material you want, you can configure your card to the dimensions and orientation you want (landscape, portrait or square), choose whether you want it single-sided or double-sided, and add finishing touches such as painted edges and lamination if you want them.
If you have a particular design in mind for your card, you can email it to them via the site itself; however if you have a concept in mind and want their design team to design the card for you, then you can supply them a brief to do so via the ‘Supply Brief and We Design’ option as well. It really is that straightforward and simple!

The verdict
I was very impressed with the ease of ordering my cards. I didn’t have a specific design to replicate; however I wanted my card to be a reflection of my blog’s banner and have the same colours and theme, which the team re-created. They were also quick to respond to my suggestions and changes, which is a huge plus point when it comes to customer service.

The quality and texture of the cards is fantastic. First impressions are often lasting impressions in certain businesses, and a brand/ blog’s business card can say a lot about the brand/ blog itself.
Disclosure: I was gifted the cards free of cost for the purpose of the review; however, all opinions are my own.
