Stylish, Affordable Country Clothing: Rydale Review
Since shopping for non-essentials has been a non-essential thing to do since the lockdown, I haven’t done even a spot of shopping, window-shopping or impulse buying since the middle of March. Not that I’m a shopaholic (far from it), but it’s nice to get something new every once in a while! So when Rydale contacted me to review something from their ‘new’ range, I was thrilled – not just because I would get something new but because the brand instantly caught my attention. Their focus is British Country Clothing and their range of clothes and accessories had me hooked.
What I chose…
Who doesn’t love a hoodie? It’s the ultimate casual chic wear (especially for a busy mum) that can be worn on it’s own on cooler days and over something when the temperature dips. Hoodies are versatile, stylish, yet so practical – and I confess I do have a few in my wardrobe. It being summer, I chose this striped one in sorbet and vanilla; cool ‘summery’ hues perfect for the evenings or when it’s a tad breezy. Also available in navy and pacific blue, it also has classic kangaroo pockets adding some character to the front.
What I like about this one is that it’s more ‘snug’ rather than loose (a great way for a SAHM to up her casual chic factor) with ribbed cuffs and intricate stitching.
On to the next item – Skinny. Cropped. Jeans. Something that every girl must have in her wardrobe. And great for summer!
Crafted from a beautifully soft cotton blend with quality stretch denim, the crops can be teamed up with a tee and trainers for the day or a blouse and sandals for the evening. These are also available in a pretty sorbet and a smart khaki (perfect colour for summer) but when it comes to jeans, I like to stick to the traditional blues and black.
Also worth checking out…
Rydale have a men’s and children’s section too for those who are interested (the childrenswear is adorable) but there’s a whole lot more to choose from in the ladieswear too. Their range of gilets (fleece, quilted and tweed); tweed skirts and ponchos with faux fur; and colourful jodhpurs are all extremely stylish and are worth checking out. Especially if you want to add a bit of countryside chic to your city wardrobe…
