Save money with Ashleigh Shopping Club this Christmas

There's something very exciting coming this Christmas! Imagine if someone – let's say Santa? – told you that you could shop at over 160 retailers for a discounted price. Not once, not twice but all year through. As many times as you wish. Too good to sound true? Well, i've got news for you because the Ashleigh Shopping Club that has recently launched lets you do just that…

What?! Really? How does it work?

Once you sign up to the club, you can avail of discounts at all the associated retailers, every time you shop. You can do so by using the card in-store or the app in-store or online. The discount is applied at source, that is, when you top up your card. You receive a 7% discount every time you top up. If you then go to the store and they have a sale, you save your money again here! Wowzies!

When using the app you can purchase codes as you shop – for example, if your total amount spent comes to £25, and the Ashleigh Shopping Club is offering a 5% discount, you only pay £23.75. All you have to do is give the cashier the associated code and pin so this will pay the same way a gift voucher would.

So where can I use it?

You can avail of discounts at over 160 retailers who are signed up at the time of launch, with more to join. These include popular high-street names including River Island, Topshop and Primark; and online retailers like ASOS and Not On The Highstreet. You can also use the discount vouchers/ codes for your weekly supermarket shop, cinema tickets, streaming services and holidays. There are also great savings available on restaurants and coffee shops.

How safe is it?

Once you sign up, you will have your own account which you can use to top up your card, check your balance and even see how much money you've saved through your discounts. Shoppers can only spend what they have loaded onto the card, so there is no fear of debt.

My verdict

The subscription is just £1/ monthly or £10/ yearly, which I think is great considering the amount you'll save in the long run. After all, if I use it every time I shop, including for groceries and family outings, I sure will save a lot. Christmas shopping, under control.

Disclosure: I was given a card to use and try out in exchange for this review; however, as always, all opinions are my own.
