Mother’s Day Gift Guide 2020

I believe mothers should be loved and treasured every day of the year, but since there is a special day dedicated to us, why not make the most of it?! Of course hand-made cards by our li’l ones are the most precious, but if gifts are on the list too, then here are a few ideas. Take your pick…

If there’s one official day for mothers to get pampered, it is Mother’s Day. And this Relaxing Self-Care Kit makes an ideal gift for that purpose. Containing a charcoal face mask, a pink clay mask, an illuminating body butter, an illuminating bath fizzer, relaxing bath salts and an orange, rose and amber scented candle, this kit filled with calming fragrances gives you an aromatherapy experience in the comfort of your own home.

I love personalised gifts and this one’s immensely cute. This personalised photo plant pot for Mum by the Gift Experience lets you personalise a short message and a photo, to remind mum everyday just how special she is! This 12 oz plant pot is 10 cm tall and even has a hole at the bottom for plants to soak up water. Perfect for your kitchen window-sill.

Speaking of personalisation, Cookie Dough Kids does a fantastic range of personalised clothes, accessories and gifts. With something for mums too. I chose this personalised double wall thermos flask bottle which I carry around with me everyday.

And this simple but cute Mama tee available in white, black and light grey with a choice of colour options (including a snazzy leopard print!!!) for the text. Four simple letters, one strong word. I wear this one with attitude!

For more accessories and cute gifts, check out these purses, cushion covers, spectacle cases, make-up bags, laptop cases and more… all made by impoverished women from a women’s co-operative in Madagascar. Not only are these beautifully hand-crafted, but you’ll feel that much better knowing you’ve helped someone in need as well…

Now this is a gift I know mum’s going to love, and really appreciate. It’s become my personal go-to after a long day, and rightly so! This portable lower back massager from Prezzybox is small but oh-so-mighty! With a soft fabric and an adjustable strap that fits around your waist (or any area of your body, really), it’s a great soother for aching, sore muscles.

Not sure what exactly to get mum? Why not gift her an exciting bargain at sign up offers – she can choose from fashion to beauty to travel and more…

Tights! Every mum’s ultimate wardrobe essential – a mix of comfort, convenience and effortless style.

The range of shapewear tights by UK Tights is vast and fantastic, making your bum, tum and everything in between look perfectly toned. From Killer Figure Hourglass Control Tights to Push Up Leggings, mum is definitely going to want more than just one pair!

These classic khaki green leggings from Love Leggings are my current favourite, especially since the weather’s warming up. Made from the softest cotton and completely non-see-through, these everyday-wear leggings team up perfectly with baggy knits or casual tees. Available in a range of funky bright colours as well as muted tones – take your pick!

A mother’s hands are always ‘working hands’ – be it diaper changes, cooking, laundry or cleaning someone or something at any point in time. Which leaves our hands rough and dry, especially in the winter. Gift mum a bottle or two of Balneum Cream to sooth her itching skin, leaving her hands and body hydrated, soft and feeling supple and smooth once again. It’s also suitable for use with eczema and psoriasis prone skin.

Tea. A mum’s most trusted beverage (ok, wine too. And coffee). But she’s going to love Nim’s Edible range of teas. Made from a combination of air-dried fruit and vegetables, these flavourful teas are naturally vegan, super nutritious and delicious too! Once the tea has been enjoyed, the fruit is fully rehydrated and ready to snack on. How cool is that?!

Disclosure: I was gifted some of the items listed in the gift guide to review; however, as always, all opinions are my own.
