Desenio art prints and frames: Review

There are two things I have a deep interest in, even though I have no professional qualification in either: Art and Home Interiors. Art for Art’s sake – paintings, prints, photographs that appeal to me and make me take a second look. Not so much the medium or the artist but the visual delight of the piece of art itself.

And decorating my house. Be it with said art, plants, flowers, decorative objects, candles, cushions, anything that adds colour, happiness and visual delight to my space.

So when I got the opportunity to blend these two interests thanks to Desenio’s wall art, I took it as the perfect project to decorate my new conservatory.

A little about Desenio…

Desenio is a Swedish brand offering a high-quality yet affordable range of Scandinavian prints and frames based on the latest interior design trends. Their website offers a wide selection of prints and posters categorised into collections and subjects (example: illustrations, art prints, photographs, nature, kids wall art, sports, music etc) as well as a variety of frames to display your chosen art. There is also ample choice in terms of sizes.

Besides the vast selection of art available to choose from the website, what I particularly like about Desenio is their Gallery Walls section that shares ideas on how to actually decorate your walls with the chosen prints/ frames. So whether you are looking to give your hallway a new lease of life or spruce up your bedroom or add colour and character to your kitchen, there’s plenty of inspiration to help you choose designs, colours and borders.

I was looking to add a colourful yet personal touch to our new conservatory, so I decided to go with the travel theme (Maps and Cities) since that is something both my husband and myself enjoy. I chose images of places that we had been to together and were special for us, in a mix of colour and black and white for different walls.

My thoughts…

• I was hugely impressed with the sheer variety on offer on their website – whatever the subject or theme you are looking for or space you are decorating, there is something for every taste and budget. For instance, the lampshades in my conservatory are of a copper finish and I was thrilled to find a metal frame in copper to match.

• The website is very user-friendly and the ordering process was simple.
• Delivery was quick and the packaging was perfect with nothing damaged. The prints came protected in a large cardboard sheet, so one doesn’t have to worry about them getting bent at the edges or torn en route.
