5 kid-friendly things to do in Florida
With the half-term holidays just around the corner and Christmas not too far away, planning for a family holiday must be top of your mind. If you want to visit another country and do something that's fun for the kids, then Florida is a great option. Besides, it is warmer than the UK even in winter!
To make things easier, I've put together five top child-friendly attractions in Florida – choose one, or all!
1. Walt Disney World
Needless to say, if you think of Florida and kids, Walt Disney World is the first thing that springs to mind, ensuring this will be a holiday your children will never forget! After all, the magic of Disney is something every child wants to experience. Make it a part of a longer trip, or make it your holiday destination – but it is the number one attraction for families.
If your kids prefer a beach kind of holiday, then you're looking at the right destination. You'll be spoilt for choice here, for you have some of the loveliest beaches to choose from. The Clearwater beach in the popular Gulf Coast beach is among the most popular for families owing to its clear, shallow waters, soft sand, promenade and other child-friendly activities.
3. The NASA Kennedy Space Centre
Why not add some thrill and edutainment to your holiday, and visit the NASA Kennedy Space Centre? If you've got school-going children, they will be thrilled to learn and see first-hand everything about space, rockets and more.
4. Universal Studios
Another must-experience when in Florida – this theme park will be among the highlights of your holiday! There are rides (based on Universal Studios' movies), live shows, attractions and lots more at this action-packed, fun-filled venue.
5. Sea World
Another awesome family theme park with so much to offer. Roller coasters, water coasters, a marine zoological centre, live dolphin and whale shows – there's never a dull (and rarely a dry) moment here!
So if you're looking for fun, adventure and a family holiday to create memories that will last a lifetime, you've got to put Florida on that bucket list!
