Skinstation: Luxury skincare at your fingertips…

I’ve never been much of a ‘skincare’ kind of person but since the past few months, I’m consciously taking the time and making the effort to care a little bit more for my skin. Maybe it’s the fact that I’m nearing the end of my thirties (the dawn of a new decade does make you rethink stuff!!!), or maybe it’s just that my skin is now showing signs of needing some TLC (other than a quick wash in the morning and the random moisturiser and sun-cream application).

So when I was offered to review some products from online store Skinstation (more on that below), I took it as a sign. I chose two products – one a Vitamin C loaded cleansing gel because Vitamin C is great for your skin; and the other a Superfoods fuelled Stress Repair stress cream, because those fine lines are starting to appear!!! Here’s my honest review of the two products

The Dr Dennis Gross B3 Adaptive Superfoods™ Stress Repair Face Cream

I had never heard of this brand before but I have become an instant fan – this product is SO GOOD, I swear I saw results in less than a week! As the name suggests, this magic potion has patented superfoods* in it, that hydrate and nourish the skin from deep within, giving the skin’s moisture barrier an immediate boost. It also helps to prevent and correct signs of ageing, including fine lines, wrinkles and sagging skin.

The Dr Dennis Gross B3 Adaptive Superfoods™ Stress Repair Face Cream has rich texture leaves my skin feeling plumper and looking healthier and more youthful.

At £72 for a 60 ml jar, it is rather steeply priced for daily use; however, it is a luxury product and to be fair it is so rich and creamy that a little goes a long way!

*Among the key ingredients in this little box are extracts of avocado, kiwi, goji, amla, turmeric and ginger root oil and sunflower seed oil. Little wonder it manages to take all those stress lines away!

Obagi-C® C-Cleansing Gel with Vitamin C

If there’s one thing I’ve been particular about when it comes to skincare, is washing my face morning and night. And this C-Cleansing Gel with Vitamin C by Obagi-C® does not fail to impress. Being a gel cleanser, again, a little goes a long way.
