Rave Wear 101

Okay, so you’ve bought all your glow sticks and are pumped for your first rave. If you haven’t done so already you might want to fill your closet with some fun rave wear. This is key to having a really good time, and this goes for all genders of the spectrum. Make sure that your rave apparel is comfortable and kind of tells a story about who you are. This is the time to be creative and nurture self-expression and vibe out, while you get lost and entranced in the timelessness of the rave. Don’t be too shy to throw on some accessories while you’re at it.

 What are you looking for in your outfit?

  While showing skin is not necessarily required, you obviously want to keep cool because it can get a little steamy at raves. The last thing you want is to tap out too soon with your friends because you did the robot to some Skrillex, and now you’re red and gasping for air. What do you want to convey to others when you’re at the rave? Maybe you’re a nonconformist and you’re not concerned with conveying anything to anyone with your apparel. Are you trying to claim and embrace your new identity, and dive into the realm of rave? If you just got out of a breakup and want to step out of your comfort zone, then these are things you’ll want to consider.  Some specifications for your raveware could include:

• Comfortability and fit that keeps you cool and ventilated.
•  Practical and Lightweight. Maybe a cool neon runner’s belt to hold your cell phone?
• Colors. You can match it up or not match at all. Maybe you and your friends can come dressed in the same colors?
• Unique Design. If you want to stand out, get something that makes you feel liberated and unbound by society’s expectations. We are literally entering The Age of Aquarius.
• Sex Appeal. Tight fitting clothes to show those pumped muscles after you worked out all winter and spring. If you have some curves and aren’t bashful to feel sexy, rock it! This rave site even sells rave lingerie.
