On ‘top’ of the style quotient: Lands’ End Tops & T-shirts review

If you’re looking for a way to up your everyday style quotient, then look no further than Lands’ End. It’s a brand I have tried before, and have grown to love. I recently reviewed two items from their Tops and T-shirts 2023 range, and once again, I wasn’t disappointed. Good quality, affordable prices and a simple yet statement-making style; Lands’ End clothing always passes the test.

Variety is the spice of a girl’s wardrobe

You’ve heard of variety being the spice of life, and indeed it is also the essence of a girl’s wardrobe! And there’s plenty to choose from in this range: from T-shirts to polo shirts to tank tops to jersey tops to polo necks and sweatshirts and hoodies, there’s a top for every mood, colour, style and season!

Prices that won’t pinch the pocket

When you’re shopping for a special occasion, you don’t mind splurging a bit; but when you’re shopping for everyday wear (and want the same top top in five different colours!), you need to be sensible about costs. But Lands’ End has you covered on that front too with tops as affordable as £12. Go on, get that in a red as well…

Quality matters…

… Especially when it comes to your clothes. The fabrics are comfortable, stretchable, feel great on the skin and stand the test of time. What’s not to like then?

I chose two items – the Women’s Pique Polo Shirt and the Women’s Long Sleeve Cotton Modal Crew Neck T-shirt – and below is my honest review of them both.

Women’s Pique Polo Shirt

There’s something about a simple polo shirt, especially a white one, paired with denim. And this one by Lands’ End is a perfect polo. The quality and fit are ace, it’s comfortable and stylish with a non-curling rib collar and two-button placket.

I personally like a plain white polo, but for those who want more colour, there are plenty of colour choices to choose from, including some cool printed designs. Available in sizes regular, petite and plus, this summer basic indeed caters to all sizes and tastes.

Nothing beats a white polo and blue jeans combo!

Women’s Long Sleeve Cotton Modal Crew Neck

A long sleeve tee is another wardrobe essential, especially in a country like UK where you will find cooler days in the midst of summer too. These lightweight jerseys are soft on the skin and don’t feel stuffy and tight – despite lending a snug fit – owing to the TENCEL Modal fibres which lend stretch comfort.

Available in almost all colours, and then some stripes and playful designs, and different necklines too (crew neck, scoop neck, V-neck), add a couple of these to your wardrobe. Trust me, you will wear them on plenty occasions and the best part is that they can be styled in numerous ways: on their own, under a denim jacket, paired with jeans or a skirt. They are versatile, practical and stylish (did I mention I love that they are slightly shaped at the waist?) and give casual cool a new definition!
