5 ways to make windows the focal point of the room

There are plenty of ways to make a room stand out, one of which is to accentuate the windows and/or the area around it, thus making it the focal point of the room. Windows are a significant element of a room – they bring in light, sunshine, breeze and offer various ways to beautify your space. This post shares some ideas on how to make windows the focal point of your room.

1. Choose an iconic window style

Windows don’t always have to be squared or rectangular. You can add an element of uniqueness with different window styles such as bay windows, garden windows or tilt and turn windows, for instance. These instantly change the look and feel of a room, adding character and depth.

2. Window dressing

There are a number of ways you can ‘dress up’ your windows to make them stand out. Depending on the room in question, you can put frosted glass or even stained glass panels on your windows (or perhaps on just one window in the room) for effect.
